STAR TESTING MAY 7-11 – Students in grades 2-5 will be participating in California’s Standardized Testing and Reporting “STAR” program during the week of May 7–11. The STAR program is designed to provide students, parents, teachers, and the community with information about student achievement.
Parent’s are a vital part of the testing process and can help maximize student achievement during this important week, by adhering to the following:
· making sure children have plenty of rest the night before testing;
· providing a healthy breakfast;
· encouraging children to do their best;
· scheduling appointments outside of the testing window;
· ensuring that every child is here and on time.
Parents will receive detailed reports of their child’s results, which will be mailed home over the summer.
